Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream Strawberry Lemonade

Sometimes you buy ice cream because it is so WTF on so many levels.  Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream Strawberry Lemonade certainly fits into this category.  I have so many questions!

1) Why is Jack Nicklaus making ice cream?
2) Is he trying to be the next Paul Newman?
3) Why did Paul Newman decide to start making salad dressings?
4) Do people eat ice cream on a golf course? It seems like it wouldn't be the best golf snack.
5) Is lemonade ice cream any good?
6) Wait. I just read the description and this is sherbet and sorbet not ice cream, so why is it called ice cream?
7) OH MY GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Clearly I picked up a pint of this inexplicable ice cream.  Strawberry Lemonade is described as

Strawberry sherbet and lemon sorbet.

I also want to include the longer description from the website, because it just adds another level of WTF to the whole situation:

Jack Nicklaus developed this refreshing treat which was inspired by his wildly popular strawberry lemonade to develop this refreshing treat.  We make this delicious pint by swirling our strawberry sherbet with a smooth and creamy lemon sorbet.

DO YOU EVEN GRAMMAR? Holy shit this is amazing.

So, how was this ice cream?  Well it cost $1.99, and tasted that way.  It wasn't bad and I didn't dislike it, but there wasn't anything outstanding about it.  The strawberry sherbet was very sweet with a light strawberry flavor.  It lacked the acidity of good strawberry ice creams and sherbets.

There wasn't as much lemonade sorbet, but it did add some punches of tanginess to the strawberry.  Again, it was very sweet.  Also, I felt like the strawberry sherbet and lemon sorbet were two very different elements swirled together rather than two halves of a cohesive whole.

I give this 🍦/4 cones. There are definitely better strawberry and lemon desserts out there for not much more money.
