I am super excited to write this review. Months ago I had my first flavor from Luna & Larry's and loved it. After I wrote my review about the flavor, I was contacted by someone form Luna & Larry's and they sent me two coupons for free Luna & Larry's products. As soon as the coupons arrived I rushed right out and used one to get this pint for free! However, a few days later I was bombarded with a shipment of New Orleans ice cream. In the midst of trying those flavors, trying the new Ben & Jerry's and Talenti's, this flavor got a bit lost in the back of my freezer. But, when I finally got around to trying this flavor, I loved it! This flavor is a plain cappuccino flavored base. Upon first bite, I tasted coconut a bit more than coffee. But as I kept eating the coconut flavor faded a bit and the coffee flavor got stronger. Alright, it is time to point some fingers. First, at Madeline: you need to review more Three Twins, like seriously, you've only reviewed two of their flavors. Second, at me: I need to review more Three Twins, this will be only my fifth review of a Three Twins flavor. Third, at Three Twins/my local grocery stores, more Three Twins need to be stocked where I can buy them! I was looking at the Three Twins website and there are so many delicious sounding flavors I haven't seen before, like Mocha Difference, Dad's Cardamom, Chocolate Malt, Banana Nut Confetti, Brownie Batter Chunk, Land of Milk and Honey, Caramel Truffle Swirl, and I could go on. However, you've got to do the best you can with what you've got, and for the time being I've got Three Twin's Cookies & Cream. For how much I have loved everything I have tried from this ice cream company, I haven't reviewed many of their products. This is mostly because I have a hard time finding grocery stores selling Three Twins, or I don't shop at grocery stores that do. (Like Whole Paycheck...I mean, Whole Foods... Although, I recently found out there is a Whole Foods exclusive Three Twins flavor, so I'll be making my way over to the St. Louis Whole Foods next time I'm in town. There isn't a Whole Foods anywhere close to Iowa City.) When I was last at Lucky's Market, I picked up a pint Three Twins. This flavor is described as Quite possibly the perfect flavor pairing with chunks of wow. Organic chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups . I'll start with the cups and move to the base, because I am a bit confused about the base. The cups were small, but frequent. It was possible, but difficult to get a bite of base with no cups. Because I am sure you have been waiting with bated breath, here it is! The brand of the second pint I bought at Lucky's Market has been revealed!! I was drawn to pick up this pint for a couple of reasons. First, Madeline and I don't review a ton of organic ice creams, so it is good to add some to our repertoire. Second, I thought the design on the pint was beautiful! Now a bit about Julie's . First, they are located in Oregon, which is not surprising at all. In addition to ice cream pints, Julie's offers frozen yogurt, sorbet, dairy-free ice creams, bars and sandwiches of all kinds (including gluten-free)! From their website, it looks like they have a bunch of interesting flavors like Pomegranate Cranberry with Vanilla, Toasted Coconut & Pineapple, Cinnamon Apple Yogurt, Mandarin and Cream sorbet, and Caramel Macaroon dairy-free.  I could keep listing flavors, but I am going to stop torturing myself. My first experience with Three Twins was with the flavor Butterscotch Pecan.  It was good, but I was severely disappointed by the lack of butterscotch flavor.  I love butterscotch, so when and ice cream promised me butterscotch and failed to deliver, I was disappointed. Lizzy convinced me to give the brand another try, so recently I picked up Lemon Cookie.  This ice cream is Lemon ice cream with vanilla sandwich cream cookies. Crooked lid! As Lizzy mentioned before  in her review of this flavor, it's as if our father owned this ice cream company.  Seriously, I cannot comprehend the depths with which that man loves vanilla sandwich cookies.  I mean, they're good, but wow.  All Three Twins needs now is a Circus Animal Cookie flavor and my dad's life would be complete! The lemon base was divine.  It was tart but not sour, with enough sweetness to balance everything out.  It tasted like the creamiest lemon bars you've ever tasted....

Three Twins is not doing anything to help themselves convince me that my father does not own this company. The second flavor I picked up while at Whole Foods this past weekend was Milk Coffee. My dad loves coffee, but that isn't the whole reason this flavor reminds me of him. I'll get to that in a bit. This flavor is described as All's Fair and Delicious in This Smooth, Caffeinated Gem. First, I would not describe the texture of this ice cream as smooth. It got smooth as it melted, obviously, but at first it was definitely a bit crumbly. Also, just like with Lemon Cookie, you can tell this ice cream doesn't have the highest fat content ever, it was not the creamiest. Weird cracks and crumbles However, the flavor was awesome. I have been a big fan of Three Twins ever since I had their Chocolate Orange Confetti way back in the early days of this blog. Can you believe our blog is almost a year old? I can hardly believe it! What is harder for me to believe is that is has been almost a year since I've had any Three Twins ice cream. Paralyzed by indecision and existential crisis.  For my long spring break weekend, I decided to stop at Whole Foods in St. Louis and get some Three Twins ice cream. I have heard lots of awesome things about Three Twins' Lemon Cookie so I knew I had to get that. However, I struggled over what to get for my second pint. On Easter Sunday I needed to go grocery shopping. Of course I didn't get my butt around to going until 5PM so Schnucks and Tracer Joe's were both closed. So I had to go to Whole Foods. I normally do not like shopping at Whole Foods. It is over priced and the company is against unions and the CEO thinks capitalism is going to save the world. Which is just... well... ANYWAY. Ice cream. While I was there I decided to go for some crazy ice cream brand that I couldn't get any where else. The bright green pints of Three Twins caught my eye. And then I saw it.
