Bread pudding is not a dessert Madeline and I grew up eating a lot of. And to be honest, the name of the dessert still does not sound appetizing to me. The first time I'd heard of it I was quite confused as to what it was. Was it pudding with chunks of bread in it, like rice pudding? Bread flavored pudding? Bread with pudding on top? When bread pudding was described to me, bread with milk, butter, eggs, cinnamon, sugar, etc. poured on top and baked, the reality of the dessert didn't sound much more appetizing than any of the possibilities I had imagined. A few weekends ago my friend Bronwyn and I were going to go to the Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop on the Delmar Loop. I was really excited because I wanted to try the Tonight Dough flavor. However, it was super snowy that day and Ben & Jerry's wasn't open. However, FroYo across the street was. So we decided to hit that up, instead. Earlier in January, when my boyfriend, Brett, was visiting me in Eldon, we drove out to Versailles to the amazing Mennonite market, Weaver's. A few thing about this place. First, when you are in Missouri, it's pronounced Versails. Second, I can easily drop like $50 on things that aren't actually food, just impulse buys, at Weaver's. This past weekend I headed to Ices Plain and Fancy with a few friends. They hadn't been and weren't really convinced it was as good as Brett and I were saying it was. Also they hadn't seen my video of the Campfire S'mores, so they didn't really know what they were talking about. I was hoping to get the apple crumble or apple pie or whatever it was Fancy Ice that I had seen on the menu when I got the Campfire S'mores because I was excited at the possibility that it could be as spectacular as the S'mores. Alas, it was not on the menu. At first I was bummed, but then I saw Candy Cane and Wasabi White Chocolate on the menu and my disappointment lifted. They added lights to their mixers. Super fun!! My friend Molly asked me to review Yo My Goodness. Yo My Goodness is a fro-yo chain that just opened up a location on Wydown, not far from Wash U, this past spring, when Chill closed. I reviewed the Yo My Goodness Yummy Yellow Cake Batter Flavor  here . However, this was a review of just one flavor, not really the whole experience. As any avid fro-yoer (is some one who yo-yos at a fro-yo place a fro-yo-yoer??) will tell you, fro-yo is not just about the flavors, or just the textures, or just the toppings, but the whole experience.
