Dearest Readers, I apologize. I have gotten mega behind on reviews the last few weeks, so be prepared for a review dump the next couple of days. I usually try not to get behind, but it has been SO WARM here in Iowa that I've been spending lots of time outside and lots of time eating ice cream, but not very much time reviewing ice cream. Tonight I have for you another from the Thelma's line up, so those of you who aren't in Iowa can be jealous of our weather (over 60 degrees the last few days) and our ice cream. This treat has chocolate ice cream sandwiched between peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I'll start with the ice cream. The chocolate was quite sweet and milky, nothing too impressive. Today I am going to write about the ice cream I ate on my birthday (this past Tuesday)! I'm sure you, Dearest Readers, have been anxiously awaiting my post about my birthday ice cream consumption. Because, obviously, all you do all day is wait around for me to write about ice cream. Obviously. If you weren't aware, Dairy Queen has a Blizzard Fan Club, and if you are a member, you get a free Blizzard on your birthday. Of course, I signed up for the Fan Club on my birthday, fully realizing they probably wouldn't give me a free Blizzard. And in fact, the confirmation email saying you've joined doesn't come until 24 hours after you've joined. Probably for this exact reason. Here's the last of the cookie core reviews: Peanut Buttah!  This flavor is described as Peanut butter ice cream with crunchy peanut butter sugar bits, peanut butter cookies and a peanut butter cookie core. Madeline's Review: First of all, I don't know what is up with this name.  Oh well.  Let's move through this flavor element by element.  First the ice cream.  The peanut butter ice cream was pretty darn good.  It tasted like the sweet-peanut butter filling of a peanut butter pie, and had the same smooth consistency, but denser. The peanut butter cookies were soft and chewy, and tasted a bit more peanut-buttery and less sweet than the base ice cream.
