Three Twins Cookies & Cream

Image
Alright, it is time to point some fingers. First, at Madeline: you need to review more Three Twins, like seriously, you've only reviewed two of their flavors. Second, at me: I need to review more Three Twins, this will be only my fifth review of a Three Twins flavor. Third, at Three Twins/my local grocery stores, more Three Twins need to be stocked where I can buy them! I was looking at the Three Twins website and there are so many delicious sounding flavors I haven't seen before, like Mocha Difference, Dad's Cardamom, Chocolate Malt, Banana Nut Confetti, Brownie Batter Chunk, Land of Milk and Honey, Caramel Truffle Swirl, and I could go on. However, you've got to do the best you can with what you've got, and for the time being I've got Three Twin's Cookies & Cream. This flavor is described as Scrumptious cookies in a madagascar vanilla base. As I mentioned when I reviewed Haagen-Dazs Cookies and Cream a while back, I love to see a more...

David's Famous Gourmet Frozen Custard: Vanilla

Image
Alright Dearest Readers, if you haven't already figured it out, I live in Iowa now. I would be surprised if any of you did not know this, because I am still not convinced anyone reads this blog who isn't a close friend or relative of mine or Madeline's. But anyway, here I am, in Iowa. Of course, it would only be fitting for one of the first products I review while I am here be from one of Big Muddy's favorite custard makers, David's Famous Frozen Custard, seeing as the custard is made in Iowa and all. Or can you? So I was a total dummy and forgot to take a picture of the front of this pint before I finished it. So this picture I found on the internet will have to do.  David's gives quite long descriptions of their flavors and what inspired them on their ...

Selezione Siviero Maria Vaniglia Bourbon Gelato

Image
No, I did not learn to speak Italian. But I did eat some Italian Gelato. This fancy Italian brand, Selezione Siviero Maria, can be found at Schnucks'! What the name means is Selections of Siviero Maria which is the name of the wife of the founder of the company. This company has a couple of other brands of gelato with different names. I think this one is supposed to be the classy brand of this company, hence the selections . Class at it's finest. You also feel really fancy while eating this ice cream because the packaging is all in Italian so you actually have no idea what you are eating. Of course, when my dad and I sat down to have some of this last night, we were wondering what exactly the whole Bourbon thing was all about. We knew that vanilla had something to do with vanilla in a solution of alcohol and water, so we though maybe Italians used Bourbon as opposed to rum or something. But why would Italians use an American alcohol to make their vanilla? Well they don...
