Cree Mee Drive In Strawberry Malt

No, you did not go back in time! This past week I visited my former students and coworkers in Eldon. It was a ton of fun to see all my friends from last year and it was especially fun to stop by Cree Mee Drive In again! I always love a good malt, and I was in the mood for strawberry, so a strawberry malt it was!

Look at the strawberry bits!


This will be a quick little review, but of a great little treat! It was quite sweet and the malt flavor was light. And although it was definitely on the sweet side, the strawberry flavor was quite strong. There were definitely a lot of real strawberries, not just strawberry flavoring. Other than the strawberry bits, this malt was only medium thickness. The strawberry bits took this malt to the next level. They were a bit hard to suck through the straw, but that only added to the fun!

Overall, I'll give this malt 🍦🍦🍦/4 cones because the real bits of strawberry were a wonderfully pleasant surprise!

Ok peeps, does anybody else think its a bit weird that Haagen-Dazs makes a Vanilla ice cream and a Vanilla Bean ice cream? Like, is that really necessary? Nestle Drumstick, The Original Sundae Cone

Every once in a while you've just gotta have a classic. For me, and for many others, drumsticks are reminiscent of childhood summers and the ice cream truck coming by. I have memories of drumsticks being really, really tasty and exciting. But before I review them, lets have a little history lesson. And by history lesson, no I do not mean me talking about my childhood; I do not think I am yet old enough that I can call my childhood "history". (Although my students are often baffled that not only am I older than Facebook, I am also older than YouTube!!) What I do mean is a history lesson on waffle cones and drumsticks. Ben and Jerry's Netflix and Chill'd

Really. A blog post. Literally 2 years to the day after the last blog post. (Srs, I did not plan that.) In that time I (Madeline) defended my thesis, so you can now call us Dr. Big Muddy Ice Cream Blog, thank you very much. So it's 2020. All through 2019 we joked that the year was a dumpster fire.
